I stayed here for a work trip and was surprised at how nice the hotel is for 2*. Some aspects of wear and tear that could be improved but didn’t affect the quality of my stay. The rooms looked quite small online so I did book a larger one for the extra space and the hotel was extremely efficient with communication ahead of my arrival and afterwards when requesting invoices. My room was cleaned daily, I left some expensive belongings laying around in a rush which I don’t usually do, and everything was always safe so the staff are very trustworthy here. The male day time receptionist was always approachable, smiling and friendly. The location is amazing and within walking distance to most places you would want to visit and close to a metro. I didn’t dine in the hotel restaurant but it looked nice and there’s resident discount at the adjoining restaurant, with lots of good restaurants close by (many people dining alone if you’re a solo traveller). You can order room service by phone or online which is great if you don’t speak Spanish. I ordered room service for a set time so I could shower and get ready, it did arrive very early so I was just out of the shower to collect it but i suppose it’s better early than late! The presentation of the food was very nice and tasted good. My room overlooked an internal staircase so I had to keep my curtains closed throughout the duration of my stay, but if I stayed again for leisure I would definitely try to get a room with a balcony and pay extra for a room upgrade for the best experience on a holiday but everything I needed for a work trip. Thanks for a lovely stay

As a relatively budget hotel for Madrid this was surprisingly good. Reception were very helpful. The room was a good size and was reasonably comfortable. The whole hotel was spotlessly clean. The large reception area downstairs was also good as a place to sit and read. There is a small cafe attached which offers a reasonable range of tapas, and where you can take breakfast - there is a menu rather than a buffet but the food was really nice and there was a good range of options. The location is excellent just down the road from the Prado and near transport connections.

We stayed here overnight as we were going by train to seville the following day. Perfect location about 10 min walk from atocha train station. Also about 10 mins walk across the road to the lovely big park. The botanical garden opp the hotel not worth its money at this Time of year. But the big El Retiro park was lovely. The reception of this hotel is beautiful. The rooms a little dull in comparison but we had a room at the back (view of the wall opp) but it was very quiet which we needed after being up travelling to Madrid.

Fantastic location, in front of Royal Botanical Gardens, walking distance to Museo del Prado, walking distance to metro and train station. Lots of restaurants and cafes nearby. Triple room was spacious - almost like two rooms (with two TVs - kids loved it :)) and it had a big terrace. We were positively surprised because the photos were not the best. There is a bistro adjacent to the hotel where food is good (homemade tortilla de patatas and croquetas!) and cheap. Bathroom with walk in shower, all nicely renovated.

The hotel was near main attractions and transports. Atocha station was a 10 minute walk, where you can catch the 203 bus to the airport for only 5 euros. The Prado Museum, Reina Sofia Museum, Plaza Mayor, Gran Via were all at a walkable distance. There are also plenty of restaurants nearby. I would say my stay was good value for the money. The room was clean, towels and bedding were changed every day and the staff was very welcoming and helpful. I would definitely recommend it.
